Why this fundraising practice must stop immediately.
The key to a successful product fundraiser is selling, promoting and more selling! But there must be line that should not be crossed when conducting your fundraising sale. Let me be very clear on this point and not mince my words: CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER CONDUCT DOOR TO DOOR SELLING! Not for a fundraiser, not for anything. This is not the 1950’s with the white picket fences and the home milk deliveries. The times have changed and the safety of our children is priority #1. Who actually supports school fundraisers?
A common question we get from our fundraising groups is “who should we ask to support our fundraiser”. The answer we give them is “whomever you think will want to support your group”. It’s a very obvious answer, but it’s the truth. Especially in today’s day and age when every group seems to be running a fundraiser, finding supporters is a challenge, but a must if you want your fundraiser to succeed. We ran an informal poll recently with our customers to find out who was actually supporting their fundraiser. Below were the 8 most common answers.

The Mom’s Role in a School Fundraiser
Let’s face it. Moms (and dads) are going to end up participating in school fundraisers just as much as the kids do. For one, it’s moms who have that vested interest in making sure the school raises enough for a new media center, or art supplies, or the other good causes that fundraisers inevitably supply.
